End of Art Camp.

It was really sad teaching the 2nd session of Art Camp without my buddy, Lydia!! NOO!!
It’s okay because I lived.
For the last project I decided it would have to take the whole week because I knew it’d be tedious for them. Chuck Close projects has had a huge impact on me so I wanted to [...]

May.

I realized that I didn’t post the artwork done by my kids back in May. I regret that I have nothing for June because I forgot to take pictures. Oops..
I had them pick either cherry blossoms, koi fishes or the Taj Mahal for their project.
Wow, I’m still getting use to the fact that they’re just [...]

(Sorry for the tiny [...]

March.

For the month of March, my little artists did projects that reflected art from the past.
For the first project, I wanted to have the students do something from prehistoric times. So they did a drawing of a bison using soft pastels and charcoal. The bison they copied was one of the many cave paintings from [...]

mes petits artistes.

Monday class is the only class I teach by myself and I’ve been having fun coming up with ideas especially for self-portraits. The first set is Pablo Picasso inspired and the second set is RenĂ© Magritte inspired. Both assignments are handled with oil pastels. (How messy!)
Dylan, age 7:

Dylan’s cracks me up and it’s not in [...]
